Workout

12 Mile Bike followed by a 2.5 mile run.

Worked on keeping a steady cadence during the ride. Purposely worked in a lower gear with higher cadence. Felt really good during the run.

Last Night

I did a full tri workout - swim, bike and run. We reviewed the tobay race course. When I got home from Oyster Bay my bs = 84. I had salad, slice of pizza, orange, yogurt for dinner. Needless to say I was hungry.

Workout - Swim technique drills followed by a 20 minute continuous swim.

Took my BS just before breakfast so it is about 2 hours after I awoke this morning.

Breakfast = 2 Oranges and Egg Whites on Whole Wheat Toast.

Breakfast = Special K

Lunch = Turkey Club at Target - can it get any worse, yuck - had to dump the greasy bacon.

Workout: Bike workout Did about 10 Mile workout in 1 mile loops. .5 of it I did at 20+ mph and the recover part I stayed at about 18+ mph. Did a 4 mile cool down. Have a lot of questions for Dmark about shifting and race day.

Did not feel very winded today.

Workout

I did a Bricks workout today. 12 Miles Bike and a 4 Mile Run. My 4 Mi run was done in 29.17 about a 7.30 mile. I felt like the bike portion really warmed me up for the run. Easing into the run wasn't very difficult.

Lunch Salad w/veggie burger
Yogurt and orange for snack, sugar free ice cream with the kids.

Definitely felt less tired than yesterday. It took me about a day to recover from the swim I did the day before yesterday.

Absolutely Tiring Day

The swim completely blew me out of the water. I didn't do any workouts today. For most of the day I was just exausted.

Lunch was a slice of pizza from sabarro.

Dinner was a salad, egg plant parm slices.

I snacked throughout the day. Yesterday's workout was a series of sprints. I really went all out. I definitely have days like this after a heavy swim workout. Not so much running or cycling. I recover pretty well after that but swim recovery is really hard.

Did a swimming sprint workout with the team yesterday. Exausted afterwards

Tried the chocolate milk after the workout as well. Tasted good. I was so tired I couldn't even get on the computer.

How is it possible that my BS went up after a five mile run???

I'm beginning to figure out that my body does very different things on vacation than when during work. Today was a run that I would typically do when I am at work. It felt very similar to my winter runs, a bit tired etc,... So my blood sugar must completely change pending on my work or vacation schedule.

Had Friendly's Tonite - Crispy Chicken Salad, Sugar Free Ice Cream.
Went Cycling Did about 12 Miles. Started to get dark. Didn't get very winded during the workout.

Lunch was a Subway Sandwich 6" on whole wheat Turkey, Lettuce, Onions

Had an Orange as a snack before that.

Got the book "Stop Prediabetes Now" Started reading it. The fatigue I felt after a meal was so just like me before I was diagnosed.

2 Hours after Breakfast BS = 99

Breakfast = Egg Whites on toast/Orange

AM BS = 113

Dinner Yesterday = Chicken, Broccoli, Brown Rice.

Also Estelle's Birthday - went on boat trip. Had birthday cake around lunch. Brunch was pretty bad.

Today was Isabelle and Marina's bday. Snacked throughout the day. Stayed pretty healthy though. Had a low carb bagel.

My BS right now is 128, had a low carb bagel about an hour ago. Going to do a light run right now.
